School & Group Tours

The Museum offers tours for school groups and camps year-round at Evergreen House and seasonally at Quaker House. The typical group rate is $2.00 per person (including children).

School groups and workshops might include additional supplies and will be charged accordingly. Please contact the Museum in advance to book a time and for more information.

Enjoy an informative guided tour of Evergreen’s main floor and associated exhibits. Available year-round, but dependent on guide availability. Guided tours can also be booked ahead of time!

Self-Guided:
Using a prepared booklet available at the front desk, take yourself on a tour of the house and its exhibits.

Audio Tour:
Now available on the main floor of Evergreen House! We have QR codes posted at specific spots throughout the museum which, when scanned, will take you directly to the associated audio file. Just scan with your smartphone camera, open the link, and click play!

The Reminisce Kit is an educational tool available to loan to community organizations. It is designed to be used by nursing homes, senior’s centres, and for those with dementia. The Kit uses the time period of the 1950s as a starting point for reminiscing. The Kit contains a suitcase of working artifacts from the Collection, a Program Manual, and an Activity Book. To learn more or reserve the box, please contact the museum.

Every Wednesday morning from 10am-12pm, we will dim the lights and quiet the museum to allow guests with sensory sensitivities to visit us without feeling overwhelmed. Self-guided tour booklets are available for those who prefer, or, if requested, a member of staff can offer a soft-spoken tour.
