Emancipation Day Social – July 27th

Join us on Sunday July 27th to celebrate Emancipation Day. The Emancipation Day Social will take place at the Mic Mac Amateur Aquatic Club on 192 Prince Albert Road, Dartmouth, in the Patterson Room from 2:00PM to 4:30PM. This free event will include an address from Senator Wanda Bernard, a guest panelist, a temporary pop-up exhibit featuring items related to Black History in Dartmouth from the DHM collection, children’s activities, and berry-themed treats and drinks from local businesses.

A list of guest speakers and an event itinerary will be shared closer to the event.

Thank you to our local community partners for donating supplies and treats to share with guests, and to the Delmore Buddy Daye Learning Institute for supporting our youth speakers.
