Congratulations to the DHM Collections Manager
Today we are celebrating a very special occasion for our Collections Manager, Shannon Baxter, who has now been with the Dartmouth Heritage Museum for eight years. Not only does this month mark the 8-year anniversary of Shannon’s journey with DHM, but they have recently achieved the monumental milestone of digitizing over 10,000 individual artifacts in the DHM collection, making these items accessible to staff for research and exhibit creation, to interested guests and visitors on NovaMuse and MemoryNS, and to future generations who can interact with these artifacts without ever needing to walk through the door.
If you’ve stopped by the museum, sent a research inquiry, attended an event, or viewed our social media and website, you’ve most likely encountered Shannon. Whether knowingly or not, you’ve seen years-worth of their hard-work manifested in our exhibits, event facilitation, research help, and so much more. Next time you see them, make sure to say ‘hi’ and congratulate them for this huge milestone in their career, and for their continued dedication toward the preservation of Dartmouth’s heritage. Thank you, Shannon!
