Special Announcement from the Dartmouth Heritage Museum

Dear members and supporters,

Throughout the history of the Dartmouth Heritage Museum, we have undergone many name changes to reflect the changing times. Originally, the Dartmouth Heritage Museum Society was the Dartmouth Museum Society. In 1996 when the Museum was located on Wyse Road, it was briefly known as the Regional Museum of Cultural History. It is a constant struggle for museums and other cultural organizations to stay relevant and to appeal to younger visitors. It is in this vein that we announce we will be undergoing a name change and rebranding as of May 1, 2018. To stay “with it” and “down with the kids”, the Dartmouth Heritage Museum will become the Darkside Heritage Museum. We hope you join us on our journey as we become the Darkside Heritage Museum and “dig” this rebranding.
