Quaker House After Dark – Stories and Dartmyths
Tickets are available for our popular Quaker House After Dark events – 2 dates again this year – Saturday, October 17 & Saturday, October 24, 2026!
Event details:
Tour Quaker House after dark with experienced guides. Learn about ghostly tales and supernatural stories from the folklore collection of Dr. Helen Creighton, along with some of their own spooky and unusual experiences working in this almost 240 year old building.
Please Note: This event is not suitable for all audiences. It involves animated storytelling, low lighting, and loud noises.
Due to the spooky nature of the stories, this event is for ages 10 and older.
This event takes place over two stories of Quaker House and involves climbing stairs.
Tickets are $15 per person sold in advance. You can purchase tickets for groups A, B, C, D, and E, with 6 tickets available per group, per date. When you arrive, a staff member will direct you to your group’s starting location. You will then rotate through the house as a group to hear all of the spooky tales.

Group A begins the tour in the Dartmouth Room
Group B begins the tour in the Summer Kitchen
Group C begins the tour in the Drawing Room
Group D begins the tour in the Drawing Room Chamber
Group E begins the tour in the Kitchen Chamber
Groups will rotate through each room to have a chance to hear all of the spooky stories!
